After many, many different salad dressing recipes I’ve tried, here are three that I (and now, my daughter) make on a regular basis. Pretty photos will be added later. We are too busy cooking!
Measure the first set of ingredients then add the liquid ingredients. Store in a any jar with a lid. Shake to mix.
Honey Mustard Dressing* (my daughter’s favorite)
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
½ cup honey (use raw and local whenever possible)
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
¼ cup lemon juice
Italian Dressing*
1 teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 pressed garlic clove
(or ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder)
¼ cup red wine vinegar
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
½ cup water
Balsamic Vinagrette Dressing*
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 pressed garlic clove
(or ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder)
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
*Use non-gmo, organic ingredients whenever possible.
